Weekend Cold Snap to Hit Taiwan, Rain Expected in the North and East from Friday Night

Taiwan is expected to see significant weather changes this week. According to Lin Hsiao-ju, an analyst at WeatherRisk, temperatures will briefly rise starting Wednesday, but the warmer conditions will be short-lived.

As a frontal system moves through over the weekend, another wave of cold air is expected to move south, causing temperatures across the island to drop noticeably. Low temperatures may fall to around 12 to 14°C. Northern and eastern regions are likely to see cloudy and rainy conditions beginning Friday night.

Experts caution that the strength of the cold air mass could still change, and temperatures may drop even further. Residents are advised to stay updated with the latest forecasts and prepare for colder weather.
