Following online claims by social media users alleging that six buildings in Phnom Penh were involved in telecommunications fraud activities, the Phnom Penh Municipal Police conducted official investigations and confirmed that no illegal activities were found.

The Phnom Penh Police stated that after such information was circulated on Facebook, law enforcement authorities took the matter seriously and promptly carried out investigations in accordance with legal procedures.

According to police reports, the locations mentioned online included The Bridge Building, Marry Time Building, Skyline Building, a building marked with a crown symbol, and Sky Tree Condominium, among others.

Police officers conducted on-site inspections at all listed locations, with some sites inspected two to three times. The investigations found no evidence of telecom scam operations. In addition, all foreign nationals residing or working at the locations were verified to hold valid legal documents in compliance with Cambodian law.

Police further noted that, in line with a government directive issued on January 5, authorities are continuing to intensify inspections, prevention measures, and enforcement actions against telecom and online scam activities across Phnom Penh to maintain public security and order.
