Upholding National Sovereignty, Cambodia Calls for Public Unity and Rationality

The Cambodian government has recently urged citizens nationwide to remain united and rational on border affairs and issues related to national sovereignty, calling on the public to trust and support the government’s stance and actions in safeguarding national sovereignty and territorial integrity.

Speaking at a news forum, government spokesperson Pen Bona stated that the government’s position on sovereignty and border issues has always been clear and firm. He emphasized that efforts in this area have never ceased and are being pursued in a continuous, proactive, and responsible manner to protect national interests and border security.

Pen Bona stressed that understanding, trust, and unity across society are essential foundations for properly addressing border-related matters. Only through nationwide consensus and support for lawful government actions can Cambodia more effectively ensure security, stability, and development.

He further called on the public to remain calm and rational, work together for the greater national interest, and help create a positive environment for strengthening national sovereignty and social stability.
