On the morning of January 30, a large marine animal was spotted near Thapalang Beach in Stung Hav District, Sihanoukville, Cambodia. The animal was initially mistaken for a whale, causing brief concern among local residents.

It was later confirmed to be a dolphin measuring approximately 6 meters in length and weighing about 1 metric ton. According to a local fisheries association representative, the dolphin had entered shallow waters and became temporarily trapped due to low water levels.

Nearby residents quickly organized themselves and worked together to guide the dolphin back toward deeper waters. After some time, the dolphin successfully returned to a safe area, and no injuries were reported.
