China Unveils Autonomous Electric Motorcycle Capable of Obstacle Avoidance and 40 km/h Speed

China’s autonomous driving technology continues to advance, with its latest application extending into the two-wheeled vehicle sector. An autonomous electric motorcycle named “Extreme XiaoZhi,” developed by Luyuan (Lima) Motorcycle, has recently been unveiled, with a unit price of approximately NT$45,000.

这款无人电动机车在没有骑士操控的情况下，也能自行前进，并可加速至时速 40公里。展示过程中，车辆还能冲上约 20度斜坡，在空中飞跃近 8公尺 后稳定落地，随后继续行驶，展现出相当高的自动驾驶能力。

Users can control the motorcycle’s direction remotely using a wearable control wristband. The technology has drawn attention from onlookers, though industry observers have noted that safety concerns remain regarding how such vehicles would perform in real-world traffic conditions.
