Cambodia’s Ministry of Interior reported that throughout 2025, national police and gendarmerie forces carried out large-scale operations targeting human trafficking and sexual exploitation, dismantling multiple criminal networks and arresting a total of 410 suspects.

Spokesperson Du Sokha said at a press briefing on the 4th that authorities investigated 272 trafficking and exploitation cases during the year. Among those arrested were 53 women and 43 foreign nationals. All suspects have since been transferred to provincial courts for legal proceedings.

He added that the National Anti-Trafficking Committee identified 355 victims and suspected victims, with cases involving both domestic crimes and cross-border trafficking activities.

On the international front, task forces assisted 28 foreign victims in returning safely to their home countries. Meanwhile, 38 Cambodian victims and suspected victims were repatriated from abroad and are now receiving follow-up support and resettlement assistance.

The Ministry stressed that Cambodia will continue strengthening inter-agency and international cooperation, maintaining strict enforcement against trafficking crimes to safeguard public security and human rights.
