On March 8, Cambodia’s Ministry of Commerce announced an adjustment to nationwide fuel retail prices. The new price sets regular gasoline at 4,400 riel per liter, an increase of 550 riel or about 14.29%. Diesel prices were also raised to 5,150 riel per liter, increasing by 1,300 riel from the previous rate, representing a rise of approximately 33.77%. The ministry said the adjustment was mainly influenced by fluctuations in global oil prices. To better reflect market changes, the government has shortened the fuel pricing cycle, which was previously adjusted every 10 to 15 days. The new fuel prices took effect on March 8 and will remain valid until March 10. Authorities said they will continue monitoring international oil markets and adjust domestic prices when necessary.
