Immigration Department Deploys Measures to Combat Online Fraud

On the morning of January 22, Cambodia’s General Department of Immigration held a special meeting to comprehensively deploy and advance efforts to combat online fraud. The meeting was chaired by the Director General of the Immigration Department, Song Veasna. The meeting focused on the current situation of online fraud crimes and emphasized the promotion and implementation of relevant law enforcement tasks and operational requirements. Officials stressed that all relevant departments must further strengthen coordination and cooperation, continue to intensify crackdowns on fraud crimes carried out through information technology, and prevent illegal individuals from using immigration channels to engage in unlawful activities, in order to safeguard national security and social order.
