Cambodia’s personalized license plate market continues to grow rapidly. The Ministry of Public Works and Transport reported that sales of customized plates generated nearly USD 29 million in revenue in 2025, marking a year-on-year increase of 68% as demand surged. According to official figures, a total of 56,381 personalized plates were sold throughout 2025, significantly higher than the previous year. Spokesperson Pan Lin said the rising preference among vehicle owners to choose their own numbers and letter combinations has been the main driver behind the strong growth. He added that compared with 2024, plate sales in 2025 increased by 22,848 units, representing a growth rate of around 68%. In terms of pricing, personalized car plates range from 2 million to 10 million riel (approximately USD 500 to USD 2,500). For motorcycles, tuk-tuks, and light four-wheel vehicles, prices range from 100,000 to 8 million riel (about USD 25 to USD 2,000). The ministry noted that it will continue improving standardized and digital management systems to meet market demand, enhance public service efficiency, and contribute positively to national revenue.
