On the morning of February 6, Cambodia’s Senate President and Chairman of the Supreme Advisory Council to the King, Prince Hun Sen, acting as head of state, received Vietnamese Communist Party General Secretary To Lam at the Royal Palace. Officials said the visit was made at the invitation of King Norodom Sihamoni. During his stay, General Secretary To Lam is scheduled to lay wreaths at the Independence Monument and the Cambodia–Vietnam Friendship Monument, honoring history and highlighting the longstanding friendship between the two nations. Cambodian authorities stated that the state visit is expected to further strengthen and develop Cambodia–Vietnam relations, reaffirming both sides’ commitment to “good neighborliness, traditional friendship, comprehensive cooperation, and long-term stability,” while deepening mutually beneficial collaboration for shared growth and prosperity.
