On January 31, Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet visited a temporary shelter in Preah Vihear Province to meet and comfort residents who were forced to evacuate due to recent developments related to the Cambodia–Thailand situation. Authorities said the site is currently hosting around 540 displaced families. During the visit, Hun Manet expressed his appreciation to local authorities, task forces, volunteers, charitable groups, and domestic and international partners involved in the relief efforts. He noted that the rapid coordination had ensured safe accommodation and essential living support for affected families. In a later social media post, Hun Manet said the government has introduced three key measures: facilitating the safe return of residents where conditions allow; continuing support and accommodation for those unable to return home; and accelerating assessments and repairs of damaged infrastructure to restore normal living conditions as soon as possible.
